So this air conditioner works fine. It's not adequate for a large room, but for a small room, especially as an adjunct AC to help a main AC keep up on hot days, it works well. It's pretty heavy, and be VERY careful not to touch the back fins, because they are sharp and they will cut into your fingers. (Ask me how I know.)Assembly in a window is pretty straightforward - after putting the top rail and side fins on, you position it in an open window and close the window on the top rail. However, it's precarious - the instructions say to just put it slightly outside of the window ledge ... in an open window ... when it is very heavy to the back ... so doing it by myself I was just picturing it tumbling several stories to the ground below before I could secure it with the closed window.I actually put a notebook under it on the outside ledge to keep it from falling backwards, which I then had to reach around from the neighboring window and retrieve. So, it would be better if it had little feet or something. It also tells you to make it slightly tilted back a few degrees, and a built in level would help that a lot. So it would be better with a few modifications to make installation easier, but once it's in that is no longer an issue.Also, it's pretty loud. That didn't bother me, but it did bother my husband ... if you like white noise, this'll be great for you! If not, well, you may want to pass.

This style of air conditioner was new to me, but I was impressed with the design. The directions were clear, and the installation went smoothly (though having a second person helps). The display controls are easy to read and understand, and I really like that it comes with a remote. The 8000 BTU output is more than enough to cool the space I needed. If I needed another, I’d definitely consider buying this again.

Wall mount air conditioners have come a long way over the decades. This is a really nice unit and has excellent features. One of my favorites is the 24-hour timer. We run on an energy plan that we select and it's nice to be able to effectively have this turned off during the high peak time without risking it coming on on its own. It will also shut off when the timer expires. It has a strong fan that quickly and quietly cools down a room with three speeds. This is a very complete well thought out and well made unit. Actually got this for our garage and I'm amazed how well it cools down a two-car garage even with the sun shining through the windows. I would definitely recommend it as an excellent value and a great way to cool that extra space be it a sunroom a garage or an outdoor shed.

Received today and installed rather quickly. I tried it out to prepare for the summer months to come and the breeze of it is nice. The machine did take a sec to cool down at first but worked well and was quiet enough not to alert the residents. I like it so far; buttons are easy to use and set up is straight forward

This ac work perfect

This is a great little air conditioner. It's not going to work all that well to keep large areas cool, but works great in my bedroom. The install was about as expected, since I have a side opening window, not an up and down one. I did also use an AC support to keep it steady, since there is not a lot of support from the window itself (again, side opening issue). That said, it was not hard at all. Just measured the opening I needed to fill and got a cut to size piece of MDF from the hardware store across the street. It works well, cooled my bedroom down in about 30 minutes. It's also less noisy than the AC this is replacing. My only wish is that it had a remote control like the old one. It does have a timer, but I haven't used it since I plan to just keep it on 24/7. It has an evaporation mechanism to keep it from filling up with water, but that's not a huge deal with a window unit, as it would just drain out of the back into the yard. All in all quite happy with this little guy.

Works perfectly as expected.

I bought 3 so far I've installed 2. They took a while to cool down the rooms but once they got going they work amazing. They even cool down my hall way. They're really quiet super good value
