The design hasn't changed in decades because it works. This is a quality version.

Handles standard T-posts perfectly

The inner diameter is just right for common posts. It grips well without being too tight. I used it on both 6ft and 7ft posts with equal success. The finish is decent, though it will scratch and get dirty with use—as it should. This is a working tool, not a showpiece. Performs flawlessly.
