My pool is back in business

It works great.

Took about 20 minutes to hook up to our PVC pool plumbing lines. The motor housing stays remarkably cool even during long daytime filtration cycles in the heat. Removing the strainer lid to dump out pine needles and leaves takes five seconds—no jammed threads or struggle. Very happy with this purchase.

Took about 25 minutes to disconnect our old worn-out pump and plumb this Garvee unit into our filter line. The motor stays cool even running 8 hours a day during peak sun, and having dual voltage capability gives peace of mind in case I upgrade my outdoor electrical panel later. Excellent performance for the price.

Runs smooth and keeps our pool water circulating nicely. I had a tiny water weep at the intake adapter thread on day one, but taking it off and wrapping a few extra layers of plumber tape solved it immediately. Heavy-duty housing overall.

Overall this pump does a terrific job moving water through our sand filter system. It keeps the surface ripple going nicely and the see-through basket cover makes checking for debris simple. Dropped one star because I had to add a little silicone grease and extra thread tape to get the inlet adapter completely leak-free on the first attempt. Working great now though.

We had a massive heatwave that turned our 21ft pool into a cloudy mess. I installed this 1.5HP pump on Tuesday morning paired with shock treatment. By Wednesday evening, the water was completely turned over, filtered clean, and sparkling blue. The debris basket catches leaves easily and twists off smoothly without needing tools. Definitely glad I upgraded to 1.5HP.

Swapped out my dead pool pump with this one over the weekend. It primed up super fast and had our cloudy water crystal clear by the next morning. The motor runs much quieter than I expected for a 1500W pump!

The pump itself runs strong and quiet once installed. Primed quickly on the first try and hasn't lost suction at all. My only minor complaint is that the included manual doesn't give much detail on switching the wiring between 115V and 230V, so if you aren't familiar with basic electrical terminals you might need a quick online diagram. Otherwise, solid equipment.

Hooked this up to our above ground pool and sand filter setup. You can barely hear the motor humming from the patio deck, but the water movement in the pool is fantastic. The clear strainer basket lid makes checking for leaves really convenient.
