Fun first mod

First mod on my Grom and it instantly feels more fun.

Noticeable in city traffic

I mostly wanted to be seen and heard in city traffic, and this hits the sweet spot. Cars notice me a bit more, but it’s still quiet enough that I don’t feel guilty leaving early for work.

Carbon finish looks premium

Looks great on the bike, the carbon style finish doesn’t feel cheap.

Complete kit, no leaks

The kit actually includes all the springs, bracket and mid pipe, so I didn’t have to hunt extra parts. Clamped tight with no leaks, even after a few heat cycles and one rainy night ride.

Nice rumble without being loud

Deep tone at idle, wakes up a bit when you crack it.

Lighter and snappier feel

Running it on a 2016 MSX125 and noticed a little better throttle response. It’s lighter than stock, fits the mid pipe nicely, and hasn’t shown any discoloration after a few weeks of daily commuting.

Easy swap at home

Took me about 20 minutes with basic tools to swap it.

Good balance with DB killer

Comes with the DB killer installed, so with it in the sound is neighbor friendly. Pop it out for weekend rides and it gets a bit louder and throatier without drone on longer highway stretches.

Way better than stock

Nice low growl, way better than the tinny stock pipe.

Clean look, deeper sound

Bolted right up to my 2019 Grom. Install was just loosen stock, slide this 51mm can on, tighten the springs and clamp. Deeper tone now, not obnoxiously loud, and the carbon fiber look really cleans up the little bike.
