So far so good. My 11 year old grandson seemed to love this and was outside trying to find treasure. Lol

Switched from an 8 inch coil and the depth improvement is real. Finding stuff I walked right over before. The 11 inch also handles mineralized ground better somehow. The yellow is practical - easy to spot in any terrain.

Bought this randomly and now I can't stop going out. The 11 inch covers more ground so you find stuff faster which keeps it exciting. My best find so far is an old wheat penny. The green color is easy to spot in the grass when you set it down.

Tested with buried targets and this picks up coins at 9-10 inches consistently. Build feels solid, nothing rattles or feels cheap. The yellow finish is durable, hasn't chipped after several trips. 4 stars because I wish the armrest was more comfortable for long sessions.

The 11 inch coil really shines in fields and open beaches. You can sweep so much more ground per pass. I was out at a local park and covered double what my buddy did with his smaller coil. Green color looks sharp too.

The 11 inch covers way more ground per sweep than 8 inch models I've used. Over a full day that adds up to a lot more area. The yellow makes it easy to spot from a distance when you set it down. Solid choice.

I like this Metal detector. In the package I received the metal detector telescopic shaft, 8 inch coil, the Large LCD readout screen, set of headphones, 6 AA batteries, storage bag, fold-able shovel and assembly instructions. The parts are easy to assemble, I do like how this unit uses AA batteries. Once assembled I did take it outside for a test run. It had no problem locating items 5 inches down in the ground.The large LCD screen categorizes the metal objects that sets it off into three groups. Iron, gold and silver. When it hits on something it will flash the appropriate category and it makes a beeping sound. Another feature ls that you can press a pinpoint, (PP), button on the screen and it will make a sound that goes louder the closer you get to the object and their is a bar graph showing you how close you are to the object. The LCD screen also has a "DISC" button which allows you to tell the unit what type of items you want it to only look for such as just silver objects or just gold objects.This is a beginner type metal detector unit, as such it is it is well built, seems to do a good job finding metal objects in the ground, for me it seemed to not do a great job in classifying the metal objects that it hits on. For example I had it set to look for gold only but when I came near a regular metal stake it set it off and the stake is not made of gold.If you want to just have fun looking for objects in the ground, treasure hunting at the beach or park, letting your kids enjoy learning to use it and look for buried treasure, I think that this is a great product. You may want to consider getting some re-chargeable AA for the unit.

I am thoroughly impressed with the high accuracy of this unit. We took it to the beach, and the 11" waterproof search coil worked like a charm in the wet sand and shallow water. The LCD display is very easy to read even in direct sunlight, and the Disc mode is a lifesaver for filtering out iron trash so you can focus on the good stuff. It’s incredibly lightweight, so I can swing it for hours without my arm getting tired. The included shovel and headphones make it a perfect "all-in-one" starter kit.

Shockingly good performance for this price point! The waterproof search coil works great in shallow water, depth detection is impressive. Clear readable display, simple button controls, comes with headphones, shovel and carry bag. Perfect gift for hobbyists and outdoor adventure lovers.
