I have to say, I absolutely love this carpet—it's by far the softest one in our house. The pups love it, my wife loves it, and honestly, I love it too. That said, comfort is subjective, so I’ll focus on the other features of the rug.The rug arrives folded into a compact 2x1 rectangle, wrapped securely in plastic. Notably, vacuum sealing wasn't used to reduce the size of the package, minimizing the risk of deep creases. After unpacking and placing the rug in a spare room, it took about six hours for the creases to fully disappearThe 5x7 size is spot-on—no extra half-inch or anything. The rubberized backing is also worth mentioning. Unlike the hard, white rubber you typically find on other waterproof rugs at this price point, this one has a softer, tackier quality. It serves two purposes: it stays in place and keeps puppy accidents from seeping through. After having the rug out for just six hours, our new pup decided to express his excitement, but cleanup was a breeze. The rug didn’t absorb much moisture when I blotted it, and a quick spritz of water and peroxide took care of any leftover residue. The color and design are well-balanced, with a distressed look that’s stylish without being overdone. It’s clear someone put thought into the design, and the quality reflects that. We buy a lot of waterproof runners, and after several cleanings, we often end up tossing them because they break down. Time will tell how this one holds up, but I’ll check back in after a while to update on how it fares with our wild dachshunds and their antics.
