Versatile deign so you can grow both larger and smaller vining plants on it.

This is a very large archway that I can see being used in a few different ways. There is a main frame to it, then also a netting that can be attached to it for trellising of plants that need closer supports. When not using the netting, this archway would work really well with grape vines. There will be plenty of space between the bars that the vines can grow thick and there‘s plenty of room for air flow. It‘s also heavy duty enough to support the weight of the vines. Now the other way one could use it is with the netting and there‘s so many options there for what to grow. Anything from the smallest of vines like peas and beans, so thicker ones like small/medium pumpkins and squash plants. So you have options with how you want to use this. It‘s pretty versatile in that way.And yes this does take some time to assemble, but the one I bought last year that was all plastic was even worse and that I ended up taking apart and just throwing away at the end of the growing season. With this being metal, it could just stay outside throughout the winter and be ready to use again in the spring. Although I don‘t know completely how well the netting would hold up for us, because we have much harder winters than normal areas do. So I likely would end up just buying a new netting to trellis my plants on each year.Obviously one could use this for trellising flowers as well, I just happen to be a food gardener. However I‘m thinking this would look amazing having something fast growing on it, like morning glories. And I might end up using it for that next year, since this season I already have mini pumpkins and gourds planted to grow on mine.

Very heavy duty, and premium quality!

This metal garden arch trellis is seriously heavy duty and feels incredibly sturdy once it is set up. The metal frame is strong, and the overall construction gives me complete confidence that it will hold up through full growing seasons without leaning or bending under heavy weight. We had a pretty big debate in our house on whether we should put this in the yard for climbing roses or use it in the garden for our vegetables, but in the end, the cucumbers won out. It has been working out perfectly as a support system, giving the vines plenty of room to climb while keeping everything off the ground and easy to harvest. Assembly was smooth, and the size offers plenty of height and walk through clearance. It looks so good and works so well that we will definitely be ordering another one for next season. This is an amazing value!

Light weight and needs to be staked down for stability in high winds

This product is exactly as advertised. I will caution that it is lightweight (i.e., flimsy) and could easily blow over. So we put stakes (plant posts) at every corner which stabilized the structure. Secondly, there are not enough bars for the plant to wrap around and climb so we are putting chicken wire onto the frame to help the plants. If this trellis was more weighted and more bars closer together, then it would have been substantially more expensive and maybe too heavy to manage. So i am ok with adding these features to the trellis. The key is setting the right expectation level. The real test is whether it will be able to handle the load of the grape vines as they mature. Time will tell.
