I picked this up to handle all the little trimming spots around my yard where dragging out a full string trimmer just feels like overkill. After spending some time with it, I can say it fills that gap pretty well. It is not a heavy duty tool, but it does exactly what I wanted for quick touch-ups, edging along borders, and cleaning up spots around landscaping.

This is a small, lightweight electric grass/hedge trimmer. The trimmer weighs just over 2 lbs and it has a built in rechargeable battery. It recharges via usb-c, it charges pretty quickly at a decent speed of 11 watts. This has 2 different heads, one designed for grass and the other has the classic hedge trimmer shape. This works good at trimming bits up to 1/3 inches thick. Using it and swapping the heads on it is easy to do. This has a single speed, though you can feather the power button for brief moments. It makes some noise, but it isn't overly loud. I like to use this for detailing areas and for cutting down weeds.

I really like these trimmers, but I have a few caveats. First, they work very well for their intended purpose. They are great for trimming small branches and especially for shaping and beautifying bushes and hedges. I think they would work perfectly for trimming bushes into animal shapes, like you see in the movies. However, they do not work well with hardwood or anything thick; they are strictly for making bushes look beautiful. Power, safety, and value The battery power is a total game changer. I would not even use these if I had to run an electric cord out, and I love that they use a standard USB-C charger instead of a special AC power supply. This means I can plug them into most of my other chargers without having to hunt for a specific one. I also like that it comes with two blade attachments for different trimming chores.

Most of their products are made in China.This item is a compact 2.2-pound device with reciprocating steel blades. The intended use for this is trimming and touch-up. Not major maintenance work. You would want a much larger and long handled gas or AC powered unit for edging a large path/sidewalk to protect your knees and back. The manufacturer also makes larger tools. One needs to be realistic about limits for something that is smaller in size and battery powered. Different purposes and functions.This is light enough to be used with one hand (ambidextrous grip). Why? A dual safety lock (great).- Then can release the top button while holding the lower one for continuous operation- Sweep in an arc with smooth sweeping strokes not choppy movements for **cleaner cuts**- Work from **bottom to top** on hedges **so cuttings fall away** - trim upward slightly to not clog the bladesMaintenance Tip to reduce rust and prolong life of garden tools- Clean blades after each use and keep dry during storage- Apply lubricating oil regularly to extend blade lifeIn summary, this is a good tool for Trimming and Edging small patches in a garden. Works great, the ease of swapping out the blades and battery release is important to me because I have hand strength issues due to arthritis. I have no issues with this. Lightweight too. Highly recommend.
