As with many things in life, I had a certain purpose in mind for this planter/trellis setup, and when it arrived, I found that it was better used for a different purpose. We wanted to install the set at the entrance of our vegetable garden to have flowering vines to attract pollinators. However, when I saw how sturdy the trellis is, I decided I would use it for our wisteria that had become too heavy for the trellis we currently use.The trellis poles are a thicker diameter, and most importantly, they are internally connected with metal pieces and then have plastic covers over the connection points. Any screws that hold pieces together are already preinstalled, and everything can be pushed/snapped together without needing any tools. The entire trellis is well designed and even has, on the sides, additional preinstalled supports that make it more stable than my old one.The planter boxes, on the other hand, could be slightly sturdier. They are well designed, and each piece easily slides into place. The wheels are sturdy enough and roll well. However, the plastic is on the thinner side, and I had two broken sliding pieces. I used them as top pieces to ensure that the boxes remain stable. Fortunately, the set comes with decorative strips that cover the damage. Since the boxes’ plastic is on the thinner side, we will use our old, lightweight trellis with the boxes and try to find lightweight climbing plants to use in them.Overall, the set looks very nice and is well-designed. If the planter plastic were thicker, this would be a winner.
