My daughter is very happy with her bed. It is so comfy and cute. At first, putting it together seemed okay. I even remarked to my husband (midway through) that the assembly instructions and labelling were pretty great and the construction seemed solid. However, it took a turn for the worse towards the end when we were putting the slats on. I don't know what we did wrong, but it seemed damn near impossible to get all of the slats into their holders. We managed okay, through some loosening and tightening the frame bars over and over again. And the final slat doesn't fit into the holder. I felt pretty frustrated, and baffled at what we did wrong. The bed seems structurally sound, though, and my daughter is happy. (The drawers move smoothly. The latch to connect it to the bed frame is a little clunky to operate, but I don't think it's a big deal because she won't be accessing the drawers contents super often.)
