This ballast box is all I need. I put about 100lbs of old 5lb sash weights and a couple old 10lb weight bench plates in the bottom, then I put my tow hitch, a few heavy recovery chains, a come along winch, and also a small toolbox inside. I'm also going to be bolting a chainsaw holder to the outside. I am using it as both rear ballast and a utility box that carries everything I need to maintain my property. I bought the same brand quick attach, and the ballast box fits okay and is easy to pick up, but it would be better and smoother with a set of Cat 1 bushings installed on the side lift pins.

Ordered as a counterweight for when I push snow. Filled it with rock. The quality is good. I like the holes for your shovels or whatever you need to bring with you. Also, has a slide in the front that you can take out to dump whatever you have in it. It was easy to install, all I had to do was put on the 2 side pins for the 3 pt to attach to. Paint is like a powder coat. Good size box and great price.

Just as good as a high dollar one from dealer. Filled with cement and zero issues at 460 pounds.

Ballast box was easy to assemble and hook to 3 point hitch. I added large rip rap rocks to the ballast box to add enough weight to act as a counter weight. The tractor now has better traction and stability.

Excellent heavy duty ballast box. The welds are clean and the steel is thick enough to handle being filled with scrap steel and sand. It holds plenty of weight to counteract my loader. The extra storage slots on the side for shovels and tools are a really nice, well-thought-out design feature.

I bought this ballast box for my John Deere tractor to balance out my heavy front-end loader. It fits the Category 1 3-point hitch perfectly. I filled it with concrete blocks and gravel, and it completely changed how stable the tractor feels when moving heavy dirt. The 2-inch receiver is very handy too.

Very robust build quality. Filled it up with about 800lbs of sand bags and it handles the load easily. Tractor doesn't tip forward anymore when carrying heavy logs. The safety pins included are thick and secure. Very happy with this purchase for my small homestead.

This Garvee ballast box is built like a total tank. Attached easily to my tractor. Having the 2-inch hitch built into it means I can still pull my small utility trailer around without taking the box off every time. Great value compared to factory options that cost twice as much.
