For starters it’s super lite weight and compacts smaller than 8 feet to a little over 7 feet. It provides two bolts to make the plank a true 8 feet when closed, but I chose to not install them. I like that I can make it smaller for transportation. They also provide two wing nuts to lock the plank at certain lengths, but I chose not to install those also. They get in the way when sliding the plank on ladders. The plank does get a little slippery with snowy boots compared to other planks I’ve used. They could definitely improve on design by making the plank grippier. My favorite addition to this plank that I’ve never experienced before is the Velcro loops on each end. The loops make it easier to pull open when by yourself. Simply use the Velcro strap to loop around staging or a ladder and pull the opposite ends loop. The telescoping action works with ease and opens and closes well. Other planks I’ve used are hard to extend and close. Also the 500 pound weight limit exceeds other planks of this size making me feel safe while using it. Definitely a good purchase for someone that wants to save a little money but doesn’t want to compromise their safety.
