I bought these as a cheap way to keep my dog from going through the thorns in my yard, I have a lot of rocks in my yard so I couldn't push them down as far as I'd liked it was still enough that I feel confident it will stay up under normal conditions, I also like that it has hooks so I can attach the fence right to it. I've added a couple zip ties in looser spots, but otherwise no complaints.

I ordered these primarily to use to support wildlife exclosures to keep snowshoe hares from girdling my trees at camp. This is not a heavy duty application for these posts. The posts are well finished and the holes and pegs are convenient for attaching fencing or wires to them. I don't know how sturdy they will be for supporting anything with weight, as the tops deformed as I was hammering them into the ground, so not sure of tensile strength of the steel. I pounded these in deeper than suggested as I am on pure sand and wanted to make sure they would also support the trees in high wind. They worked well for my application and I am happy with them.

The 4ft steel posts themselves are very durable and keep our chicken wire fencing standing taut across the yard layout. Dropped one star only because the heavy metal bundle tore through the cardboard packaging during transit, though all posts inside were undamaged.
