Well-designed and functional

This is a classic Langstroth hive, no surprises. It's well-built, easy to assemble, and works as it should. The included instructions were clear. My bees are productive and the hive is easy to inspect.

Foundations were a bit thin

The kit is good, but the foundation sheets seemed thinner than others I've used. They still worked fine.

Wood smells great

The pine has a fresh, clean scent. The bees seem to like it too.

A few extra nails would help

The kit is great, but I ran out of nails halfway. Had to use my own. Not a big deal, but worth noting. The hive itself is solid.

A joy to work with

Inspecting this hive is easy because everything fits so well. The bees are happy, I'm happy.

Frames fit snugly

No gaps for the bees to build burr comb. Very precise manufacturing.
